1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy describes personal information processed through the EO New Jersey Event Assistant on WhatsApp (the “Service”). The Service is operated by New Jersey Young Entrepreneur’s Organization, Inc., d/b/a EO New Jersey.
2. Information We Process
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
- your WhatsApp mobile number and message content;
- EO membership information needed to verify access, obtained from EO Global systems;
- event information, registration status, and attendee information made available through EO Global;
- registration requests and confirmations; and
- limited technical, security, and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the Service.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the Service unless it is specifically required for an EO event and the Service expressly requests it.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information only as reasonably necessary to authenticate access, respond to event requests, show authorized event and attendee information, process registrations, maintain security, troubleshoot the Service, comply with law and EO policy, and prevent misuse.
The Service is not intended to use member information for advertising, unrelated marketing, data brokerage, or solicitation.
4. Sources of Information
Information comes from you through WhatsApp, from WhatsApp/Meta as necessary to deliver the communication, and from EO Global systems through authorized APIs.
5. How Information Is Shared
Information may be shared only as necessary with EO Global, WhatsApp/Meta, EO New Jersey administrators or authorized volunteers, and service providers supporting hosting, security, logging, or technical operations. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of EO, its members, or others.
EO Global and WhatsApp/Meta process information under their own applicable terms, privacy notices, and agreements. Their processing may occur independently of EO New Jersey.
6. Attendee and Member Information
Event attendee and member information is confidential EO information. It may be shown only to authorized users and may not be used for mass marketing, scraping, resale, external distribution, or prohibited solicitation.
7. Automated Verification
The Service automatically compares the WhatsApp mobile number used to contact the Service with EO Global records. A match may be used to grant access. This is an access-control function, not a guarantee of legal ownership or identity. If the match is incorrect or fails, contact EO New Jersey.
8. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, document requested registrations, resolve errors or disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce EO policies. Registration and membership records stored by EO Global are governed by EO Global’s retention practices.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No communications or information system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You may stop using the Service at any time. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding your personal information. Requests may be submitted through the EO New Jersey Contact Chapter page and should identify the request as a privacy request.
11. International Processing
EO, WhatsApp/Meta, and technical service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the transfer must be supported by an appropriate lawful mechanism.

The Service is a membership-related EO service and is not directed to children.
14. Changes and Contact
